This delicious sauce is served as a accompaniment with a lot of different peruvian courses. For example, rice with chicken. We recommend you to know how to prepare it by heart.

Preparation:

  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1 fresh yellow pepper, chopped and cleaned (without seeds)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of lime juice.
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon of chopped cilantro.

It’s simple: cut the onion in stripes, wash it in water (the peruvian onion has a strong smell) and mix it with the rest of ingredients.

    Thank you for your recipe, how do you take the bitterness from the onion, I wash it, but still it is very strong.
