This tea soup is not a soup. I mean, you won’t drink it at midday, but at morning. Specially if it’s a Sunday breakfast. This is an old recipe that calls for bread, butter, tea and milk. Do you dare to do it? start your day in a delightful way with this recipe for 4 people.
Ingredients:
- 8 slices of bread
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- Powdered cinnamon, to one’s taste
- Powdered cloves, to one’s taste
- 2 strong cups of tea
- 4 cups of milk
Preparation:
Spread butter on the bread and put the slices at the bottom of little soup tureens or big cups (two in each one). Sprinkle sugar, powdered cinnamon and cloves and pour half cup of tea and one of milk (both almost boiling). That’s all.
If you want, you can toast the bread in a frying pan, spinkle them with sugar or cut them in circles.
